A Field Trip

I cried when I read this article. I had never thought of just how few experiences some inner city children get. I think that the track this teacher was taking was great. For her to give Tyler that experience of sitting in a car was amazing. I think that instead of just pushing them through the system and trying to make them learn just as fast. I think we should take our time and try to find that one right angle that works for the kids.

Education gap

I completely agree with this article. I think that we have a huge issue in America with the poor students not doing as well as the upper class students. I think that we as educators need to work a little bit harder trying to bridge that gap for those students. Some times the parents can't afford to do better for their kids, but we as educators should be willing to help them no matter what.
